ALBAWABA - In a recent announcement from the military arm of Hamas, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, reports surfaced regarding a substantial toll on Israeli forces in the northern and central regions of Gaza.
According to the statement shared on the Kassam Brigades' Telegram channel, an Israeli special forces unit of 10 soldiers stationed in a building in Gaza's central area, particularly in Juhor ad-Dik, was targeted with a missile, resulting in casualties and injuries among the Israeli soldiers.
A notable Israeli expert suggests that Hamas has gained a strategic advantage against Israel, particularly in the southern Gaza Strip. In the same region where Israeli infantry entered, an anti-personnel mine was reportedly deployed, causing an explosion that claimed the lives of six Israeli soldiers and left several others wounded.
The statement also highlighted an incident in El-Kasasib neighborhood within the Cibaliya Refugee Camp in the northern Gaza Strip, where sharpshooters targeted three Israeli soldiers, including a captain.
Furthermore, it was reported that in El-Kasasib neighborhood, a "Merkava" tank was successfully hit by "Yasin-105" rockets, and in the Cibaliya al-Beled area, two "Merkava" tanks were struck.
The Israeli military, in its attempt to expand its ground invasion in the Gaza Strip, had previously announced the loss of 14 soldiers in the last 24 hours.
