Leader of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) Nayef Hawatmeh held talks on Monday with Syrian Defense Minister Mustafa Tlas, during which they discussed the outcome of the Camp David talks, reported Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The DFLP said in a statement in Damascus that Tlas stressed Syria’s support to Palestinians and that they have the right of declaring a state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement quoted Hawatmeh as saying that the PLO should be revived to be able to supervise the negotiations with Israel on the basis of UN resolutions and not on the Oslo agreements, said the agency – Albawaba.com
