ALBAWABA - Six months into the brutal Israeli aggression Gaza, Israel has showed no sign of backing down, with allies supplying the Israeli Occupation Forces with ammunition and artilery yo continue its brutal onslaught on Palestinians across the besieged strip.

According to statistics by NGO Save the Children, Children and women comprise the overwhelming majority of those killed, with records proving that more than 13,800 children have been killed.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimates that at least 17,000 Palestinian children are currently unattended or separated from their parents in Gaza.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza has deteriorated drastically in 2024, as the Israeli army has blocked the entrance of food and effectively used famine as a weapon of war.

Almost all of the 2.3 million people imprisoned in Gaza are now facing malnutrition, with the UN predicting that famine will strike various parts of the territory by May.

Northern Gaza, which was the first to be ravaged by an Israeli ground invasion, is the hardest damaged; Israel continues to severely limit access to the north, obstructing routes and causing assistance convoys to be delayed or canceled.

1.9 million people have been internally displaced, accounting for more than 80% of Gaza's total population. Most are seeking refuge in UN facilities such as schools and hospitals; nonetheless, more than 400 people have been murdered and at least 1,400 injured in refuge locations.

More than 1.5 million people are currently crowded into Rafah, Gaza's southernmost city on the Egyptian border. Many have been forced to live in temporary camps or on the streets, vulnerable to Israeli air attacks.   Israel has insisted it will invade Rafah by land as well.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 33,137+ people, with more than 75,815+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
