Delegation from FC Barcelona to arrive in Morocco

FC Barcelona  Club president Joan Laporta will head an official delegation from FC Barcelona to Morocco between Monday 21st and Wednesday 23rd. Delegations from Barcelona City Council, the Parliament of Catalonia and the Generalitat, will also take part, the club website repotred.

 

During the three days of the visit, FC Barcelona will inaugurate four Barcelona fan clubs, as well as having meetings with the Moroccan FA and the Moroccan General Secretary for Sport. The aim of these meetings is to promote agreements of cooperation and participation for Moroccan youth as well as contributing to the development of Morocco through sport. On Tuesday morning, Joan Laporta will meet Moroccan Prime Minister, Driss Jettou, in Rabat.

 

The delegation will be present at the inauguration of four Barcelona fan clubs: PB Rabat, PB Chefchaouen, PB Tangier and PB Casablanca. The delegation will sign agreements of cooperation and support for the participation of young Moroccans in football and sport in general. The agreements will also be supported by the Barcelona City Council and the Councils of the towns where the fan clubs are located. FC Barcelona will be committed to help the development of Morocco via sport.

 

On the first day of the visit, the delegation from FC Barcelona will visit the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football, where they will be received by the president, Housni Benslimane. The aim of the meeting is to reach an agreement between Barca and the Moroccan FA to promote football among Moroccan youth by, among other initiatives, setting up football academies.
