Opens a New Retail Building worth KD 4.1 million in Southern Dasmah
Dasmah & Bnaid Al-Qar Co-Op Society Chairman, Ahmed Mohamed Ashour, announced today that the new Dasmah & Bnaid Al-Qar central market will open this Wednesday, 20th of May, in the Southern part of the Dasmah suburb. The new top-class shopping facility is opened officially under the patronage of the residents of Dasmah & Bnaid Al-Qar district and in the presence of many prominent personalities and members of the Co-Op Society Board of Directors.
In announcing the opening of this new community facility, Mr. Ashour said: “the new building is one of the biggest central markets in Kuwait. It carries a wide range of products, in an attractive and convenient setting, that meet the needs of all shoppers and offers many innovative features never seen before in Kuwait such as Prepaid Smart Cards.”
Mr. Ashour added: “This KD 4.1 million project is located on 17.386 square meters featuring a multi-storey building, a large underground warehouse equipped with refrigerators and freezers, a tunnel connecting the old warehouse to the new one, in addition to 300 car parking spaces that make it easy and convenient for shoppers to use this facility.”
The new central market combines latest technologies with attractive display settings made of the most luxurious types of marble, stone, and aluminium. To avoid congestion inside the Co-op, the Board of Directors approved a design that saw the construction of the building on two floors offering various departments and stores in addition to the extensive food section. The building was designed to allow plenty of natural light coming through the glass roof which provides a very open and attractive feel for shoppers.
Mr. Ashour concluded: “I would like to thank the residents of Dasmah & Bnaid Al-Qar area for their valuable trust in the Board of Directors, and their ongoing efforts to complete this project. I would also like to express my thanks to the various ministries and governmental institutions that helped overcome the obstacles faced during the construction of this market.”
