Manufacture ROGER DUBUIS became well known in 2005 for its Excalibur Double Tourbillon model which is as virile as it was extravagant. The Excalibur collection is now brought to Dubai by Damas, the leading retailer of watches and jewellery in the Middle East. Shunning conformism and focusing on daringly glamorous designs, the brand, dedicates its creative competence to men and women offering them unique adornments which lend a peerless aura of elegance.
Tamjid Abdullah, Deputy Managing Director of Damas, said: “ROGER DUBUIS, young company, founded in 1995, brilliantly demonstrated that value creation is not time-dependent! Once again, this new model demonstrated the astonishing symbiosis characteristic of the brand, which comprises the close marriage (Poinçon de Genève) and a bold stylistic modernity. Thus we are happy to bring this amazing model to Dubai.”
A few years later, ROGER DUBUIS has decided to re-engineer the movement and to redesign the contours of this model, which has meanwhile become the Brand’s icon. The grooved bezel features more accentuated lines, the crown guard hugs the case middle more snugly, while still preserving its strong personality, and the dial exploits the deliberately deceptive asymmetry of the retrograde minute. The fully reconstructed movement, bearing the Geneva seal, powers the double Tourbillon in unison, as evidenced by the blue javelin seconds-hand, and is mounted in a platinum case enhanced with a hand-stitched alligator strap.

The Excalibur Double Tourbillon model is equipped with a mechanical hand-wound movement, 16''' studded with 61 jewels, is rhodium-plated, and has the Côtes de Genève motif. Other features include a flying tourbillon with differential, tourbillon carriages visible between 4 and 5 o’clock and between 7 and 8 o’clock. One-minute tourbillon rotation for each; power-reserve displayed on the case-back, jumping hours (360° sector), retrograde dragging minutes between 9 and 3 o’clock (180° sector). Movement stamped with the Poinçon de Genève.

The new ROGER DUBUIS timepieces will be available soon at Damas Les Exclusives Boutiques conveniently located in Emirates Towers; Burj Al Arab and Mall of the Emirates.
