Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides is to leave for Athens on October 17 to meet with Prime Minister Costas Simitis the following day.
Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou announced the President's trip after the Council of Ministers meeting, which took place Monday, according to the Cyprus News Agency. In addition, he said the National Council, which was expected to convene on October 9, would probably meet next week instead. (Albawaba.com)
