The Joint Consultative Committee of the EU Committee of the Regions (CoR) and Cyprus are to hold their inaugural meeting Monday in Nicosia.
The meeting will begin with speeches from Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides and CoR Vice Chairman Jean Louis Joseph, according to the Cyprus News Agency.
The Joint Committee is to focus on a number of issues including the situation of the accession negotiations, the strengthening of the role and capacities of local authorities in view of accession, and Regional Policy. (Albawaba.com)
