ALBAWABA - China reaffirmed its previous calls for a ceasefire truce in Gaza as the war enters its fifth month today with dozens of thousands killed, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a statement.
Chinese FM stressed the need to reach peace, stability and international solidarity after the latest truce talks failed to reach an agreement point.
Wang said: "Life should not be labeled by race." He added: "This is a disgrace for civilization…a tragedy for humanity." His statements come as the death toll in the Gaza Strip reached 30,717.
Nonetheless, the Gaza Ministry of Health said more than 72,156 have been injured in Israeli aggression on Gaza since the Al-Aqsa Flood operation carried out by Hamas against Israel on Oct. 7.
The Chinese diplomat further asked the international community to act "immediately" to halt the war which is affecting over 2 million people in Gaza. He also urged for the release of "all detainees."
Wang maintained: "The calamity in Gaza is another call to people that the long occupation of Palestine should not be ignored."
He, moreover, reaffirmed that the two-state solution as the "only way to end the vicious cycle of violence."
