ALBAWABA - A source at the education ministry said that Kuwaiti authorities ordered on Thursday the closure of a local Iranian school.

The source spoke to AFP on Thursday, confirming that the decision to close the Iranian school came following multiple Iranian attacks during the Middle East war on the Gulf country.

Despite the direct reason for the closure of the school not being mentioned, sources suggested it came in response to Tehran's attacks on Kuwait, which Iran justifies as targeting American assets and military bases in the region, amid the U.S. attacks on the Persian country.

"The Minister of Education issued a decision to revoke the educational license of the private Iranian school and close it down," read the text of the decision, which was seen by AFP.
