In honoring of its members and in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, CFA Jordan, the leading society in promoting ethical and professional standards within the investment industry, held an Iftar gathering on September 26th at the Meridian hotel.

Followed by an entertaining comedy show presented by the famous Arab band, CBM, the evening came to further reinforce the distinctive relations amongst the CFA Jordan members in line with the society’s ultimate mission and strategic plans.

“We are very pleased to be holding this event, as it is with great pleasure that we extend our gratitude and appreciation to each and every member who contributed to the development of this society in Jordan. Our members’ expertise and genuine efforts will with no doubt play a vital role in refining the local investment industry, through the provision of internationally recognized high standard programs, amongst is the Chartered Financial Analyst examination program,” said President of CFA Jordan, Mr. Sami Nabulsi, CFA.

“We aim to take advantage of this holy month to bond with our members and update them on the society’s latest developments. Moreover, we hope to constantly motivate the CFA Jordan’s members to continuously collaborate in the strategic development plans of the society,” concluded Mr. Nabulsi.

On June 11, 1947, representatives from financial analyst societies in Boston, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia joined forces to form the National Federation of Financial Analyst Societies (NFFAS) to promote the exchange of ideas, develop a code of ethics, and support the welfare of the societies and their members. NFFAS’ name was later shortened to the Financial Analysts Federation (FAF).  In 1990, the FAF merged with the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA) to form the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR), which is now CFA Institute.
