ALBAWABA- The Libyan Ministry of Interior has reported a devastating toll from the unprecedented floods caused by Storm Daniel, with more than 11,000 lives lost and around 20,000 individuals still missing.
Among the victims, over 400 foreigners, predominantly Sudanese and Egyptians, have been identified.
The catastrophe has left a trail of destruction beyond comprehension, with a quarter of Derna city swept into the sea, vanishing permanently.
In an effort to address the dire situation, the Ministry of Interior has stated that electricity and internet services have been connected to some areas of Derna, with round-the-clock efforts underway to restore essential services.
