A car bomb explosion in Derna has killed at least seven people and injured 19 others, Reuters reports.

No group has yet to claim the attack but Daesh has made a push to reclaim the remote eastern city.

Daesh had taken Derna at the end of 2014. However, by May 2015, the Libyan Air Force launched a series of airstrikes against Daesh positions in the eastern city of Derna.

Later, in June, Daesh was pushed out of Derna in June by the Mujahedeen Council of Derna.
