Dozens of Daesh fighters were killed Saturday during clashes with militiamen seeking to push the extremist group out of the Libya’s eastern city of Derna, AFP reports.
Members of the Mujahedeen Council of Derna targeted Daesh positions in the city over the past seven days, according to Libyan news agency Lana.
Daesh extremists overran many parts of Derna since the end of 2014, according to AFP.
