A car bomb that detonated in eastern Syria near the border with Iraq Tuesday killed at least five people, Associated Press reports.

Activists on the ground say the bombing took place in Deir al-Zor, an area rife with conflict. The bomb exploded near an office of al-Nusra Front, according to AP.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but many suspect it is the work of jihadist group ISIL. Al-Nusra Front and ISIL have been fighting each other in Syria in addition to battling Assad’s regime.

The Syrian civil war has killed over 160,000 people and displaced millions.
