Police bomb disposal experts defused a car bomb in the southern Spanish city of Sevilla early Sunday, state radio reported.
The team worked on the Peugeot 205 for nearly an hour to disarm two devices, with a total of about 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of explosives.
The radio said several telephone calls were made to police to warn them of the car bomb, which was set near the city's high speed train station.
The report said that authorities believe the bomb was set by members of the Basque separatist group ETA who had come from France, and not ETA's notorious Andalucia commando, which was broken up by police.
ETA has been blamed for a succession of bombings and shootings since it broke off a 14-month ceasefire in December 1999 -- SEVILLA, Spain (AFP)
