BRIEFED THE CABINET ON THE FOLLOWING:
1- THE OUTCOME OF THE SECOND SOUTH SUMMIT OF G-77 AND CHINA
WHICH WAS HELD IN DOHA LAST WEEK AND WHICH DEALT WITH A WIDE RANGE OF
POLITICAL,ECONOMIC AND SECURITY MATTERS OF CONCERN TO DEVELOPING
COUNTRIES.
DURING THE SUMMIT, STRESS WAS LAID ON THE PARAMOUNT SIGNIFICANCE
OF ENHANCING BILATERAL, REGIONAL AND SUB-REGIONAL COOPERATION
AMONG THE GROUPING S MEMBER STATES.
2- THE TELEPHONE CALL THE EMIR SHEIKH HAMAD BIN KHALIFA
AL THANI MADE LAST SUNDAY WITH KING HAMAD BIN ISA AL KHALIFA OF
THE KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN ON WAYS OF FURTHER ENHANCING AND CEMENTING BILATERAL RELATIONS IN ALL DOMAINS.
3- THE TELEPHONE CALL THE EMIR RECEIVED FROM PALESTINIAN
PRESIDENT MAHMOUD ABBAS ON JUNE 21, WHEN LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
ON THE PALESTINIAN ARENA WERE DISCUSSED.
THEN, THE PRIME MINISTER BRIEFED THE CABINET ON THE OUTCOME
OF THE OFFICIAL VISIT HE HAS RECENTLY PAID TO THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC
OF GERMANY AND ON THE TALKS HE HAS HELD WITH SENIOR GERMAN OFFICIALS ON WAYS OF ENHANCING BILATERAL RELATIONS IN ALL DOMAINS.
