Saddam Hussein's legal advisers on Friday condemned British tabloid photos showing the former Iraqi president in his underpants. The Sun said military sources had handed over the pictures "in the hope of dealing a body blow to the resistance in Iraq".
The pictures violate Saddam Hussein's rights as a prisoner and have broken the Geneva Convention.
In the article accompanying the pictures, The Sun said "Now Saddam Hussein is reduced to shuffling around his prison compound in his underpants and washing his own dirty socks in a simple bowl."
On its part, the U.S. military claimed that it was "outraged" by the release of those photos.
