UN peace mediator for Syria Staffan de Mistura said Syria will hold presidential election in 18 months, according to Russia's RIA news agency on Friday.
De Mistura told RIA in an interview that the starting point for the election will be the latest round of Syria peace negotiations which are planned for March 14 in Geneva.
