An explosion hit the Rukban refugee camp in Syria which is located to the Jordanian border on Saturday, causing numerous injuries and an unconfirmed number of deaths, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based activist group monitoring the war.

The camp is home to refugees and to opposition groups who are active against both the regime of Bashar Assad and the Daesh extremist militant group, and was targeted by bombings last year.
