Daesh (ISIS) has seized five villages in northern Syria near the Turkish border, Reuters reported Thursday, where Syrian rebels were in control.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Thursday told Reuters of the advance, in an area where the US and Turkey planned to launch an offensive against the extremist group.
