Algeria's President, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, sent a message of sympathy to ailing Palestinian President, Yasser Arafat, wishing him a speedy recovery.
According to APS, the Algerian leader wrote he was “sad to be left with the only option than imploring God, the merciful, be His omnipotence glorified, to grant you mercy to recover quickly and protect you from any misfortune.”
“Even though I know your courage and patience, the virtues of valiant men and strong leaders of your calibre, I cannot help get worried and I am left listening attentively to the news reported in the media to be informed of your state and praying God, convinced that the believer’s prayers for his brother are answered, especially during the holy month of Ramadan," Bouteflika conveyed.
Arafat on Friday left his West Bank headquarters to France via Jordan to get urgent medical treatment. (Albawaba.com)
