ALBAWABA - Following a bomb threat, Gulf Air aircraft GF213, which was headed to Kuwait on Sunday, made a safe emergency landing at Kuwait International Airport, according to Kuwaiti police.
Airport security procedures were promptly activated in response to the alarm, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and other pertinent organizations.
Without any casualties or interference with other airport operations, every passenger was safely removed off the airplane. The passengers are said to be in excellent condition after being moved to a separate terminal for further security checks, according to Directorate General of Civil Aviation spokeswoman Abdullah Al-Rajhi.
The person who caused the bomb alarm has been arrested by authorities, and security measures are being taken to make sure the flight is safe. Additionally, scheduled flights at Kuwait International Airport will proceed as planned, according to Al-Rajhi.
The Civil Aviation Directorate reiterated Kuwait's commitment to upholding the highest safety standards in civil aviation and commended the security forces' prompt and professional reaction.
