The Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) opted for the Boeing offer in expanding and updating medium and long haul fleet over the 2003-2012 period, Maghrib Agence Presse (MAP) reported Tuesday.
A RAM press release said Boeing and Airbus had answered in February its call for bids and the contract went to the American aircraft builder after offered technical, operational and economic plans were thoroughly screened, the agency said.
According to MAP, the contract worth $1.1 billion includes supply of 20 medium-haul B-737 new generation aircrafts and 2 long-haul b-767 aircrafts -- Albawaba.com
