Divers in Uganda have recovered the bodies of the other three of five Germans who died when their plane crashed into Lake Victoria early last week, civil aviation officials said Sunday.

Two bodies had been recovered earlier.

The four men, including the pilot, and one woman, all International Committee of the Red Cross workers, died when their Cessna 210 plunged into the lake as it attempted to land at Uganda's Entebbe international airport on the night of October 23.

They were returning to Uganda after visiting neighboring Tanzania.

Fred Otunnu, spokesman for Uganda's Civil Aviation Authority, said special equipment had been required to retrieve the wreckage, which is stuck deep in a mass of silt in the lake bed -- KAMPALA (AFP)
