BNP Paribas, one of the leading international banking networks, and a major financial institution in the euro-zone, has announced the commencement of BNP Paribas Gulf Graduate Development Programme - a recruitment, integration, training and career management programme - in its bid to nurture local talents.
Mr. Frederik Poquet, Deputy Regional Secrétaire Général of BNP Paribas said: “We offer local graduates the opportunity to embark on a dynamic career involving a wide range of activities and functions at our bank. The BNP Paribas Gulf Graduate Development Programme is implemented in all our offices in the Gulf region under our regional co-ordination.”
About 30 applicants were interviewed during the months of May and June among which 11 candidates were chosen. These trainees were offered a permanent contract at a competitive remuneration package.
“For the first time, the selection process was conducted mainly in Bahrain in co-ordination with the New-York Institute of Technology, the University College of Bahrain, and the Bahrain University,” we will enlarge this selection to other universities in the other G.C.C. Countries, added Mr. Poquet.
The recruitment will be done by BNP Paribas branches in the Gulf (Kuwait, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar and the training will be organized with the regional hub in Bahrain.
The objectives of the programme are to attract the most outstanding local graduates, provide them with exposure to a prestigious international bank, develop local talent & potential and create a pool of Gulf-experienced professionals.
“Our new graduate candidates are currently undergoing a structured regional orientation, training and integration programme co-ordinated by the Human Resources department and heads of business lines present in the region,” said Mr. Poquet.
“Through this programme, fresh graduates gain the experience of working for a high-profile international bank, while their talent is nurtured and developed as they are exposed to a broad range of career opportunities,” he added.
