Natina Reed says she'd like her career as an actress, in this week’s number one movie, Bring It On to take her in directions she wouldn't usually go. For example, she says most of the roles singers get are similar to the roles they play as a performer or a member of a group, reported Fox online. But she says that isn't really acting.

Reed says when you play a role, it should be something that portrays a side of you no one thinks you can bring out. For her, she says that means playing someone who is sensitive or romantic lead. Her current movie role is not exactly a stretch, as they say in acting circles. Reed and her fellow members of Blaque star as cheerleaders in the film, Bring It On.

She says she and the other members of the group Blaque had no trouble learning the dance moves to play cheerleaders in Bring It On, but that they were worried about standing on guys' shoulders in some of the cheerleading routines.

She also added that in her future roles she would like to show a different side of her.

Lastly Reed wanted to make clear that she and the other members of Blaque are serious about being role models to young girls-Albawaba.com.
