ALBAWABA- US President Joe Biden declared a successful joint operation with Britain and the support of Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands, targeting specific sites in Yemen.

These strikes aimed at neutralizing Houthi rebel positions that posed a threat to the freedom of navigation in the region, particularly in the Red Sea.

President Biden emphasized that the Houthi rebels had used the targeted locations to endanger the safety of American forces and civilian sailors navigating through these crucial maritime routes.

The defensive action was framed as a direct response to the escalating Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, including the deployment of ballistic missiles, which posed a significant risk to both military and civilian vessels.

The coordinated strikes were carried out in response to the mounting threats in the region, especially against commercial ships.

President Biden underscored the necessity of protecting the interests of the United States and its allies, signaling a commitment to ensuring maritime security in the face of evolving challenges.
