ALBAWABA - Reports emerging from Iran suggest that the recent explosions heard in Isfahan and Tabriz were the result of the interception of three small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Opposition leader Lapid reacts to far-right minister Ben Gvir's characterization of Israel's strike on #Iran as "weak." Ben Ghafir describes the attack on Iran as "a mockery.

The Fars News Agency, closely associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, disclosed that the detonations occurred near Isfahan's 8th Main Jet Base, a site also housing a nuclear facility.

According to Iranian state television, the air defense system successfully neutralized multiple drones in Isfahan. Mehr News Agency, in its early morning report, confirmed the downing of three mini drones by low-altitude air defense systems near the Isfahan base.

Additionally, Iran's official news agency, IRNA, revealed that air defense systems were activated across various regions of the country, including Tabriz, where the system engaged a suspicious aerial target.

Social media speculation regarding an explosion at the Isfahan nuclear plant was debunked by official sources, affirming the security of critical infrastructure. State television, citing reliable sources, dismissed claims of an attack on the nuclear facility, while the semi-official Tasnim News Agency suggested that the explosions may have resulted from the interception of small drones rather than a missile strike.

A military statement regarding the incident reiterated that all explosion sounds were attributed to the activation of the air defense system and assured the public that no explosions or damage occurred within Isfahan city limits.
