ALBAWABA - Iran launched a series of drone and missile attacks against Israel to demonstrate its deterrence and regional power. Tehran's first direct attack on Israel brings its longstanding conflict with Israel into the open.

Israel intercepted most of the drones and missiles, but Iran's military leadership deemed the operation a success to show its resolve and willingness to face provocations. The attack, albeit foiled, warns Israel and the US that Iran would increase tensions if necessary.

"This operation serves as a clear message from Iran: we are prepared to take bold action and endure the consequences," stated a source familiar with the regime's thinking. The calculated response is aimed at deterring further aggression and asserting Iran's capabilities in the face of regional challenges.

Quoting Israeli media: Iran has prepared 1000 ballistic missiles of various sizes and explosive weights in preparation to retaliate against any attack on it. Several Iranians have also shared footage showing the transportation of massive Iranian missiles.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation government reassured Arab countries and said: "Our response to Iran won't endanger you if it occurs," following concerns from these nations about being perceived as cooperating with Israel.
