Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications operator and one of the major sponsors of education in the Kingdom, is delighted once again to support the UoB (University of Bahrain) Career Day which will take place at the university’s Sakhir campus on ِApril 2, 3 and 4, 2007.

Batelco Human Resources General Manager Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa presented a sponsorship cheque to UoB Advisor President for Admin & Finance Affairs
Dr. Jawaher S. Al–Mudhahki at a presentation held at Batelco Hamala Headquarters.

“We are delighted once again to support this key event that is instrumental in guiding today’s students on a successful career path,” said Shaikh Ahmed.

“Career Day provides the perfect opportunity for university students to find out more about careers in the telecommunications industry as well as the wider job market,” he said.

Dr. Al–Mudhahki thanked Batelco for their support and stressed that the company’s continuous support for the university’s activities would benefit the work market.

“We thank Batelco for supporting the Careers’ Day in particular and many other activities that the university conducts. This shows the company’s interest in the university students and at the same time appreciates the value that the university adds to the private sector,” said Mrs. Al–Mudhahki.

“The continued sponsorship of this event has created a unique relationship between the university and one of the major companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will surely contribute to further boosting mutual co-operation,” she added.

Batelco will host a stand at the event where industry experts will be available to answer questions and give advice based on their years of experience in their respective fields.

Additionally, Batelco Chief Executive Peter Kaliaropoulos and General Manager Human Resources Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa will speak at a presentation to students and attend a press conference, at the university tomorrow (March 14).

“The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. Education, knowledge and sound advice will provide invaluable tools to help them face the challenges that lie ahead. The UoB, in organising events such as this, is helping to build a better future for Bahraini generations to come,” said Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.
