Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak telephoned US President Bill Clinton Monday to brief him on developments following his resignation, reported the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
No more details were given by the report.
Barak formally resigned as prime minister on Saturday, allowing early election in 60 days.
The paper said that Barak also inquired about the special $450 million aid to Israel which has not yet been approved by Congress.
According to the paper, it is unlikely that the aid will receive approval before a new US president is elected -- Albawaba.com
