Bahraini ambulance crews are set to try out space-age equipment that allows doctors to monitor patients' conditions by satellite, reported the Gulf Daily News.
The ECG hook-up will enable doctors to analyze the condition of patients suffering heart problems en route to the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).
They can then suggest appropriate care en route and arrange for treatment on arrival.
One ambulance will be fitted with the equipment within two weeks, as an initial experiment, the SMC chief of medical staff, Abdul Aziz Hamza, said Wednesday – Albawaba.com
