The GCC represents the best framework for furthering co-operation among regional states, said Bahraini Affairs and Information Minister Mohammed Al Mutawa Thursday, cited by Gulf Daily News.
He said Bahrain’s policy was to fully support the GCC in the hope that further co-operation would lead to greater unity and integration among Gulf states.
Mutawa was responding to reports in Kuwaiti newspapers about a number of unified projects taking place among GCC states.
In a statement to GNA, he said Bahrain believed in the collective efforts which GCC leaders were making to enhance cohesion and integrity among member states.
Al Mutawa added that Bahrain was also looking forward to welcoming GCC leaders who will attend a consultative meeting in Manama on May 14 – Albawaba.com
