Bahrain’s Emir Arrives in UAE for Bilateral Talks

Bahrain’s Emir Sheikh Hamad al-Khalifa arrived in Abu Dhabi Wednesday for talks with UAE’s President and other senior officials on bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern, reported the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). 

Bahrain and UAE are members in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) which also groups Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar.  

The agency added that the GCC’s higher consultative committee has selected Bahrain as chairman of the current fourth session. 

Member of Bahrain’s consultative committee, Habib Qassim, was selected as chairman and Omani member, Khalfan bin Nasser as deputy chairman, said the agency -- Albawaba.com
