Baghdad: Two killed, 20 wounded in blast

Two people died and 20 were hurt when a bomb attached to a car went off at a market in southern Baghdad on Friday, police said. According to AFP, the blast occurred in Dora neighbourhood at around 8.00 am (0500 GMT) as traders gathered at a wholesale market to purchase fruit and vegetables.

 

South of Baghdad, authorities on Friday stated there were three bombings Thursday in Babil province. A bomb attached to a minibus killed three and injured eight in Hillah, while two bombs at a market in Musayyib wounded 45, said Maj. Muthana Khalid, a Hillah police spokesman, according to the AP.
