A series of bombs were detonated Tuesday morning in and around Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, reports Associated Press.
A total of eleven civilians were killed, as confirmed by Iraqi medical officials.
The first incident occurred in the district of Mahmoudiyah, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) south of Baghdad, when a car laden with explosives detonated, killing seven people and injuring 13 others.
Another bomb exploded in a parking lot outside Yarmouk hospital, killing four people and injuring ten others.
