Ajman Sewerage Private Company Ltd celebrated the 38th World Environment Day, on the 5th of June 2010.
Under the motto “Working together for a greener Ajman”, ASPCL welcomed and greeted thousands of Ajman residents in its main customer service branch for a week in which it highlighted ways in which both the company and its customers could benefit the environment through their joint efforts.
ASPCL distributed diverse coloring crayons for children, frames and recyclable notepads for onsite games that were both informative to drive the point in ways accessible to the younger generation.
In this context, Mr. Olivier Crasson, General Manager of Ajman Private Company Ltd. (ASPCL) commented: “Since its inception, ASPCL has been participating in environmental projects with the aim of increasing Ajman’s efforts to build a better nation. This year, ASPCL’s calendar is wider and includes several beneficial projects for the Ajman and its residents.”
The purpose of the World Environment Day is to bring people closer to environmental issues, empower residents to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development, promote the understanding that communities are central to changing attitudes towards environmental issues, and advocate partnerships which will ensure all nations and people enjoy a safer and more prosperous future. ASPCL is sparing no effort in working towards reaching this goal, and the event held at its premises was testimony of its successful approach.
