Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah on Wednesday received a letter from Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

The letter was handed over by visiting Palestinian minister of planning and international cooperation Dr. Nabil Shaath during his meeting with Crown Prince Abdullah.

Palestinian ambassador to the Saudi Kingdom, Mustafa Hashem Deeb told KUNA that the letter dealt with the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories as well as the ongoing Israeli aggression facing the Palestinian people.

The ambassador added that Shaath's visit to Saudi Arabia aimed at updating the kingdom's leadership with regards to the dire conditions within Palestine, and to activate the Arab initiative that was agreed upon during the recent Arab summit held in Beirut.

Shaath and his accompanying delegation are expected on Wednesday to also meet with Saudi foreign minister Prince Saud al-Faisal, in order to exchange views on similar issues. (Albawaba.com)
