Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat called Saudi Arabia's King Fahd over the Israeli air raids in the Gaza Strip and West Bank on Thursday, the official SPA news agency said, reported (AFP)
King Fahd expressed "his deep regrets for these events which do not serve peace sought for the region, damage it and destroy its foundations," the agency reported.
"The Israeli aggressions are contrary to international conventions," King Fahd added in the telephone conversation.
