Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat arrived in Jordan overnight for talks with King Abdullah II on "the deteriorated situation in the Palestinian territories and ways to put an end to Israeli aggression," a Jordanian official said Saturday.
Arafat, who was met by Prime Minister Ali Abu Ragheb, arrived in amman on his way home from Moscow, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and spoke by telephone with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
The official said Arafat would brief the king on the substance of his talks in Moscow -- AMMAN (AFP)
