An Israeli military drone has fallen in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network on Wednesday cited Israeli media reports as saying that the aircraft fell on the roof of a home in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, and was delivered by locals to the headquarters of the resistance movement Hamas.
Some Palestinian media outlets had a different narrative. They said the drone was ‘shot down’ by resistance forces while flying over Gaza.

The drone’s downing comes amid tensions in Jerusalem al-Quds that have triggered protests in the occupied West Bank and Gaza in support of the Palestinians in the holy occupied city.
On Monday, Israeli sources said a mortar shell was fired from Gaza towards a settlement in the occupied territories.
It followed the firing of more than 40 rockets from the Israeli-blockaded coastal sliver into the occupied lands.
Confidential Israeli military report concedes that missiles launched from Israeli drone killed four Palestinian boys playing on Gaza beach in 2014. In broad daylight, the supposedly careful operators mistook four cousins ages 10 and 11 for Hamas militants. https://t.co/oQUdKIX5mK pic.twitter.com/J6qE4LtTzz

Two Palestinian resistance factions – Fatah’s al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine’s Abu Ali Brigades – claimed responsibility for the rocket fire.
Earlier this year, the Jerusalem Post said “Israeli military drones are dropping like flies” in the Lebanese and Palestinian territories.
