Armed Iraqis launched anti-tank rockets at a U.S. armored vehicle in the city of Fallujah overnight, leading American troops to a shooting spree that killed two Iraqis, local residents said on Thursday.
Earlier, eyewitnesses in the town, located west of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, reported four big blasts near an American army base, the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television news channel reported.
Following the explosions, tanks were also seen moving around the city, while gunfire was heard and helicopters flew overhead, the eyewitnesses told Al-Jazeera. (Albawaba.com)
