The growing importance of the Middle East in the international aluminum industry and global developments in the sector will be the main topics of the 10th Arab Aluminum Conference (Arabal 2001) in Dubai on November 11, reported the Gulf News on Monday.
Speakers from the UK, US, Germany, Austria, Canada and the Middle East will address an audience of industry professionals from over 40 countries.
"We expect many senior executives, metal traders, financiers, market analysts, suppliers and customers to attend," said Nader Mohammed, member of the organizing committee.
Papers and panel sessions will revolve around the central theme, Competitive Advantage in Aluminum - the Gulf Edge. Topics will include global production and consumption forecasts, regional energy resources and technological developments.
The Arabal conference is convened by the Kuwait-based Arabal secretariat and hosted at a different location in the Middle East every other year – Albawaba.com
