The national Algerian bi-weekly sports magazine "Echibek" (published in Arabic) celebrated on May 9, its 12th anniversary. The magazine, reports <i>Liberte Algerie</i>, was founded on May 9, 1993, and in spite of some difficulties at its early days it became an important part of the Algerian sport news scenery.
The magazine's director, Yacine Maloumi, said that "Echibek" management is "satisfied from the place of Echibek in the Algerian sporting news market" and added that they will continue "not to spare any effort to give our readers reliable and objective news."
