AP has quoted Syrian activists as saying that shelling in the Aleppo province has killed at least 20 people.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has said that the shelling took place in the town of Tel Aran. There were two separate incidents, during the course of which, a total of twenty civilians were killed.
Seven people were killed when forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad fired on a car. A further 13 people were killed in a shelling attack on Tel Aran.
The rebel forces in Tel Aran primarily comprise two Al-Qaeda linked factions. Clashes between the government forces and rebels Tel Aran have intensified over the last few months.
Over 100,000 people have died in Syria since the start of the uprising. In addition, the U.N. estimates that one out of every three Syrians is in urgent need of humanitarian aid.
