ALBAWABA - Al Jazeera's correspondent Wael al-Dahduh and photographer Samer Abu Daqqa suffered injuries during an incident in Khan Yunis, Gaza.
Reports from Palestinian media indicate that al-Dahduh sustained a gunshot wound to his hand, prompting his immediate transfer to Nasser Medical Center for urgent medical attention. The current status of al-Dahduh's health remains undisclosed.
Similarly, photographer Samer Abu Daqqa was reported to have suffered severe injuries in an attack targeting a school in Khan Yunis. Al Jazeera has verified the injuries sustained by both al-Dahduh and Abu Daqqa while covering the assault on Haifa School in Khan Yunis.
This unfortunate incident comes on the heels of a tragic event on October 25, where members of Wael al-Dahduh's family, including his wife, son, and daughter, lost their lives in an Israeli shelling targeting their residence. The al-Dahduh family had sought refuge in their home in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the devastating loss of 13 lives, including nine innocent children.
