Al Ghurair City to host food carving demonstration and exhibition on July 10
Two-day event to feature live demonstration and themed exhibition
Al Ghurair City, a key sponsor of DSS 2008 and a member of the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), will host a two-day food carving demonstration and exhibition as part of activities during DSS 2008 on July 10 and July 11 between 5 and 10pm.
The exhibition will be based on five exciting themes – Modhesh, Modhesh around town, Ocean Scene, Oasis in the Desert, and a Wedding Scene. The displays will be in addition to live carving demonstrations by trained chefs.
The Modhesh theme will focus on a Modhesh cake as the centerpiece with fruit and vegetable carvings of the bubbly mascot. ‘Modhesh around town’ will feature a Burj Dubai cake as the centerpiece with fruit and vegetable carvings of Modhesh in different poses.
The Ocean Scene theme will have a Dolphin cake at the centre with fruit and vegetable carvings of sea creatures. The fourth theme, ‘Oasis in the Desert’, will display a cake in the form of a castle as the centerpiece with fruit carvings of desert elements. The centerpiece of the fifth and final theme will be a wedding cake adorned by fruit carvings in the shape of flowers.
