Ajman City Centre is joining hands with Ajman Municipality & Planning Department to celebrate the upcoming National Environment Day on 4 February by hosting an awareness campaign on the environment and against the use of plastic bags at the mall.
Visitors will be able to see the urgency with which action needs to be taken by each and every individual to protect our surroundings. An exhibition and a documentary will be showcased to highlight the harmful effects caused to the environment.
Jassim Al Khaja, Mall Manager of Ajman City Centre, said, “UAE has one of the highest per capita waste productions in the world and it is extremely essential to highlight how simple efforts taken at our end can make a difference. Small steps such as separating waste generated at home so most of it can be recycled instead of filling up landfills, switching off lights, air-conditioning units, laptops when not needed, is a good start. We hope our shoppers will be inspired to take action and do their bit to help save the environment.”
