The strike, the second of its kind within a year, saw Turkish fighter jets hitting targets in the Tel Rifaat, Cizire, and Derik regions of northern Syria, extending 40-50 kilometers beyond the border.

The inaugural airstrike of similar magnitude, named "Operation Claw," was executed on October 20, 2022, acting on the orders of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During this operation, targets associated with an organization in northern Iraq and Syria were successfully neutralized.

Preceding yesterday's operation, there was meticulous target selection, and upon its commencement, combat aircraft took off from several key military bases.

Furthermore, unmanned aerial vehicles, including Akıncı Combat UAVs, participated alongside the fighter jets during the mission.

OIL WELLS AND STORAGE FACILITIES STRUCK
This operation showcased the deployment of domestically-produced munitions and marked a notable shift. In contrast to previous actions, this operation successfully dismantled 30 targets, including oil wells and storage facilities previously utilized by the separatist terrorist organization. Additionally, caves, shelters, hideouts, and depots housing terrorists were also eliminated.
